What I'm seeing is "discontinued"
Dorman has a line of repair bushings.
You never answered if it was the bushing or the cable that broke. If it is the cable you can get some cable of the correct size from a bicycle shop and splice the ends on.. If it is the bushings a bicycle shop might have a jobber box full of them.

I bet you could source new end pieces and cable quicker and cheaper than waiting for GM to get enough orders to merit a production run.

Sourced a part from a mom n pop shop in Delaware, came in last week. They took it off a totaled SS. Hopefully this one lasts me until gm does a post production run. Thank you for everybody’s feedback and willingness to help !
