Never try to gap iridium plugs!!!!!! They are set at the factory. The whisker is very easy to break I have a set in the garage to remind me how to waste $40.

Every time I checked anything after the malfunction there was a lot of fuel on the plug and in the cylinder ....Even in the pic of the plugs you can see how wet the damaged plug is! I'm not denying That I may have done some Catastrophic damage by pushing it home? I guess I'll find out Soon! I'm so bummed out by all this I just ordered a compression tester on amazon it will be here after Christmas! I'll get back to it after the Holidays....... Thank you to all of you for the Ideas & comments....... I'll keep ya all Posted!

Hope you all have a Merry Christmas and a Great New Year! Thanks again, Tony
Why didnt you just borrow a tested from the parts store for free?

Looking at that plug the electrode is bent and and the porcelain is busted off, the grounding electrode is gone, apparently the piston hit it or something to push it up into the electrode to bend it then snapped off?

Ah! Not before. I do now! (Didn’t show up on the small dim phone display.)

Mechanical interference or detonation damage? Looks way beyond the consequence of damage done in bungled gapping.

Turbos are notorious for masking detonation.

Compression test, borescope, to start. Evaluate coking situation. This is where the di becomes relevant.

You're probably going to end up pulling the head anyway. But before you commit to that , you should pull the valve cover and look for broken or sticking valve train parts, particularly at the problem cylinder. In addition to scoping it, of course.

Don't be too hard on yourself (yet.) It's possible that cylinder had a problem when you bought it.
