installed Wrong Plugs, 1 end burned off&+ cyl.1dead?
I think I Found The Problem:(
This Sure Isn't what I was Hoping to Find
I haven't done this Kind of engine work in 20 Years.... But as difficult as access was on so much of this Is Not Super Hard to Work on! I'm looking for advice on all that I need to check and any Advice on good quality replacement Parts? Thanks in advance for any Help! Hope everyone out there is Doing Well, Tony
Judging by the damage to the side skirt , the cylinder sleeve is most likely toast! Might be time to spring for a complete replacement engine.probably cheaper then to rebuild the damaged engine

Believe it or Not The cylinder wall has some Aluminum stuck to it ....But just transferred it scraped right off with a straight edge Razor blade ! Virtually no scoring at all? I have no doubts That I can Hone and replace pistons and the Likes? I Plan to get back to it soon! I'll let you know what I figure out? I was hoping anyone who has done a rebuild on these might have some advice on Parts? I have a Genius machinist That's Going to Look at My Head ! I saw GM Brand new Heads Complete.... Ready to Bolt on for $599 :) on Ebay! It may take me awhile to figure out what I'm going to Do but open to any and all Thoughts.... Thank You! Tony

I would just plow ahead with the ZZP fully forged long block. I think it’s a GM LDK with the later sand-cast block, into which ZZP has swapped out the inferior rods for forged ones. Ecotec doesn’t get much better. $6000 is pretty affordable as new engines go.

Also, new injectors. (Was it a dirty injector that burned a hole in yer piston?) Get the ones for 2010. They’re bigger.
And of course you’ll need to tune it, so you might as well get the 3 bar MAPs.
