Or maybe the rings/piston are broken, and the squirters are pushing pressurized oil into the combustion chamber.

Do you have any history on the car? Has the oil consumption gotten progressively worse, or was it sudden?
He is a mechanic that has had a hard time. Nornaly he's spot on with maintenance . he said when he got off freeway the car lost power and smoke started out the exhaust .
He owned his own repair shop but he's stuck in bed for now. So he couldn't really check it over.
But said car used little oil typical for the newer pcv systems .

Yeah the zzp deal is pretty sweet, almost pulled the trigger on that myself. The used motor, you're going to want to change the timing/balance shaft chain sets, maybe new o-rings on the oil cooler. New injectors/fuel rail would be advisable either way.

If you go zzp, you may need to purchase the motor separately from a fuel rail. Adding the fuel rail was glitching their system, killing the free shipping for the motor.

Yeah we haven't raised that kinda money yet. We will likely go used. Ill certainly put new timing system in it. And possible new turbo cartridge. Just gotta see how the money flows this week or see if anyone pops up with a reasonably priced used motor. Junk yards have gone full retard on these prices.lol

That one's dead. Time for another engine.
Look down through the sparkplug hole. Wouldn't be surprised if you find a hole in the piston.

Oddly enough I put a engine scope in the cylinder and I can't see a hole. Going to rip head off tonight.

We found some engine options one for 600 and another from a you pull it for 225. Waiting to find out mileage. The owner is selling his tool boxes hoping to get enough to but either a zzp motor or a ntk engine. Wish us luck!
