I am so sorry to read you have had additional problems with your HHR. How are things going with this?

Well as of last night, the service advisor said the mechanic couldnt get the car to act up. I told him, I have pics, and he said when he pulled it in, he saw no guages where on. So here in a bit Im going to go pick it up, with nothing done. And next time it happens, Hope I will be able to get it to the chevy house. Otherwise, oh well. lol Still very upset that the Towing company that GM uses, doesnt know how to get cars onto bed without grinding them into the bed, and scratching rims...

What hasn't gone wrong

You have nothing on mine.
In 28,000 miles my 2009 SS has had the engine, transmission (twice), complete front suspension, door locks, sunroof, battery, radio all replaced. The dealer I was taking it to were complete idiots. I had to take it an average 3 times to get anything fixed. I finally went to another dealer and am getting better service. The automatic headlights do not work 1/2 the time, and the same with the outside temp gauge, they do not know how to fix them.
This is the biggest piece of junk I have ever owned. Every day I wonder what is going to happen next. I ended up buying an extended warranty just to cover myself. I would sell it, but who would buy it after looking at the service records. And if I traded it in I would take a several thousand dollar hit. I seriously doubt that I will ever buy another Chevrolet again. I tell everybody I talk to about it. If GM was smart they would offer to buy it back and sell it off for parts just to shut me up.

Well im sure they've conveyed how they understand your anger and frustration. Im with you man, no more GM cars for me either. First and last. I do the same, I convey the absolute disinterest the Dealer has in making right to everyone and anyone that will hear it.

Well, performance cars aren't designed to be dd. They are lighter for weight solutions and a lot of plastic. Best bet don't get a performance car for a daily driver. Lol

Gah I guess time to revive this. Have had no problems since then!!:)
But today at the shop was bored and put it on the lift, recently ive noticed the coolant levels slowly going down. So I looked it down, and saw turbo had coolant residue dripping from it. Hopefully its just a hose, but I wonder if the turbo got damaged. Its had some problems with boost over about 9psi. Like there is no boost over 9. Lol hopefully the warranty will cover it. It goes monday to a new dealership since ive moved.

stuff like this really scares me about getting an HHR SS for my fiance when her camry lease is up. Are these cars really that hit or miss? I mean I know what the chances are of plastic charge pipes and intercooler failing ive changed a few. But if its a car where im going to have bolt ons (intake, catless dp, HP tune 22 psi or so (conservative with ramp) I dont want to be worried about engine/transmission/turbo failing

Would your fiancè necessarily want an SS, or is that really for you? My wife has driven her non-modded 06 2.4 LT back and forth to work for 6 years without any major problems. The worst thing she ever called me for was a CEL that turned out to be a poorly sealing gas cap.

How does the SS differ from ANY LS or LT on the road, other than engine and bumper covers?
