I know this topic has been beaten to death, but I just bought this car and boost/power delivery seems "off" on the top end. I have a 2010 SS manual with GMPP.
Boost comes on strong, rips the tires easily in 1st and 2nd with traction control on. Boost spikes up to 17psi, never goes higher, then abruptly drops down to 14psi until redline.

I know the ECU can do funny things to control boost. However, the power comes on hard to about 5000 then feels like it stumbles from there to red line.

Is this something I need to investigate further?

 

Sounds normal. The torque management system seems to be dropping the boost.
If you watch the RPD display on the hp/torque screen,you should see the hp/torque numbers "hold their power" so to speak. If you see a big dropoff when the boost drops, then you may have an issue.
Or, just get the GM turbo upgrade and say goodbye to that 14-17lb stuff.

Mine pulled 14 stock, with an occasional 16 spike. It hit's 19 now and will spike at 21 sometimes.

You might as well, all my performance mods were your idea anyway....
guess I could read the book but thats another 499. The standard one is ok ?
