Don't worry about it, the engine or turbo will blow up soon.
Since this is coming soon after a turbo replacement I would start there.

No. It's a switch, on or off at a set pressure.

The oil light means shut down now. Pressure could be ZERO.

Have you had the oil pan off? With that car's history, the pickup screen could be totally clogged. With your prior problem with the oil filter, something could be plugged.

At least one thread here discusses putting a tee at the switch to add a sensor for a gauge.

Dropping the oil pan isn’t hard. The oil pump is in the engine front cover .

Drained the oil. It was mostly drained, so I removed the oil filter cap. The oil was filled to the top. Granted I didn't warm the car up too much to move into into the garage and it's been sitting for a few days at 50-60°F.

Filter was compressed again. Thought it was the old cap because it was the wrong type and had a different spring and clips even though it did fit.

seems to be air bubbles in the oil? Almost looks like transparent white flakes.

is this color indicative of coolant in the oil?

Going to remove the oil pan once it's drained good. Anything special I need to do or remove in an auto?

The oil seems very thick, hard to tell from a picture. If it's as thick as it looks, it may be too much for the oil pump to handle. I wonder if the heat exchanger inside the oil cooler has broken?

It did seem a little thick. Also discolored. Has the same color as those rocky mountain things in Arizona. Like redish colored. That would explain the coolant leak. Although it's been leaking before to other places...guess it leaked into the engine block now. What's the cheapest way to determine if its the block or the head gasket?

where is the heat exchanger and the oil cooler?

The heat exchanger is inside the oil cooler. The oil cooler is on the driver side of the block. I believe the oil goes directly from the filter to the oil cooler, or maybe vise-verse, I'm not sure which direction it flows. There is also a short coolant hose that connects the oil cooler with the thermostat housing, that should help you locate it.

The filter gets compressed from the cap being installed correctly. Assuming that the pin on the bottom seals into the hole in the housing. Every one that I have removed was compressed like your pic.
The oil does not move up/down, it does not compress the filter. The pressure exerted would cause a bulge, if anything. Don't panic!

DexCool is orange not red. What color antifreeze are you using?
