Sorry i guess i should have stated it was a guage out of the Cobalt so the pigtail/ harnwss is opposite..both ends are female the cobalt has a male harnwss coming from. The apillar and the cobalt guage is a female so they work... In an HHR the Apilar has a female and the guagenhas the male..therefoee i have 2 fwmale ends.

Hey Don, Thanks for the effort and assistance but unfortunately i changed the #29 fuse even though it dodnt look blown and that made no difference.. still no RPD or DIC. The DIC still shows miles/km, tells me to check my tire pressure and doors ajar but nothing happens when i hit the info button or hold down info and enter button for 2 seconds to try and clear the warnings or turn on/off a specific option. What about removing battery cables and try to "clear" the ecu that way??? Maybe it will reset it or something?

You worked on the electrical without disconnecting the negative cable at the battery.
a full 30 minutes lobotomy might reset the computers

Remove the negative cable clamp on the battery itself.

I thought three 10mm bolts and a harness and the coil pack is out on my 1988 Oldsmobile Cutlass Cierra
the mount touched the positive at the starter and lite up a small fuel leak I was investigating. Burnt that one to the ground!

We all take short cuts, do things that are really dangerous without thinking the repercussions or consequences.

I think you may have fried a data line or a module. Does the engine start? CEL? Disconnect the gauge completely?

Fuses #16 and #7 on the BCM could be involved. The RPD/boost/DIC get power from #16.

I suspect the tan wire (digital signal) got shorted, or you wires mixed up.
