sounds like belt slip?

just wondering... even before i put my forge bpv on.. under high boost acceleration with the stg1 i hear a "belt slipping" sound sometimes around the 21lbs mark... dont smell rubber or anything though

is it actually my serpentine belt slipping? has anyone else heard it on theirs? .im at 44kmiles . i thought maybe it was pressure leak past the diaphram on the weak factory spring but i put the yellow spring in the forged one and same thing.. not all the time but when i really want to i can make it do it again

when i do hear it i let off the throttle causing me to not go as fast as i wanted

That's a new one, seems like at wot and custom exhaust, you wouldn't be able to hear a belt slip, I'm guessing a boost leak, that can be heard at wot, with custom exhaust, I had one when I changed the hot side pipe, you might want to inspect the rubber snake and the plastic corners on the intercooler.

I have heard it too. It sounded like the belt to me too. It never bothered me though and doesnt do it under normal driving conditions

I'd also like to see a vid. Mine has a pretty loud "whine" at full boost. I wonder if it's the same sound. No boost leaks and no belt slip though

I'm like Turbo Hearse, mine has a pretty loud 'whine' at WOT, after I installed the Forge BPV, but pretty sure its not the belt.

I would also like to see a video of this.

Might b the one of the clutches in the auto tranny? I've heard a belt slipping sound on my auto when mine shifted into 2nd at the strip. Does it do it in a specific gear?

mine does the same thing after i used HP tuners to up my boost.. The 1st to 2nd shift at WOT i sometimes hear the belt "chirp" as well. i just chocked it up to the belt slipping on the crank pulling because of the sudden RPM change.

is this noise possibly due to the sudden rpm change during shifts which in turn makes the turbo possibly bleed off a bit of boost or something to that effect to make the noise sound like a belt slipping?

Boost bleed between shifts sounds plausible. I hear this sometimes at the track after a burnout. In my case it is definitely the bpv chirping back into the intake. Doesn't happen all the time but when it does, it always gets the track attendants attention and mine. Sounds very similar to Bov. Just not to atmosphere. If he is running a forge Bpv,, it may just be more noticeable.
