Splash protector got ripped off

Went over a speed bump that was really sharp pretty slow but it still messed it up. Somehow it ripped out the protector and the electrical component on top of the protector. I’ve been searching all over the place for what it’s called so I can replace the assembly as the wiring is destroyed, but I haven’t been able to freakin find it. Any help is appreciated here’s a pic of the thing.

How about a picture of where it came from. Front? Rear? Left? Right?

My guess is you have non standard headlights, that looks like an adapter for HID, nothing that belongs on an HHR.. But I don't knows what a "splash protector" is; maybe try a junk yard iof it is what I suspect all years all models should work.

You're probably right, donbrew. I guess it would be easy to figure out what the device is for... What has stopped working?

I think the plastic shield is the wheel house liner/fender liner.

Looks like a rear splash shield, that device could be for a rust inhibitor, or alarm device

That's an FBI tracking device...LOL Quick, run, hide... J/K
Looks like the wheel well splash guard, should be easy to find and a dime a dozen at salvage yards.

Like said before, pictures would help.
It stops the "what if" guess work.

If I had to guess, I would say that is the passenger-side front wheel liner.

The wires coming out of the larger box have thick insulation and a well-insulated connector at the end of the red wire. This is usually indicative of high-voltage shielding, which would be consistent with donbrew's guess of an HID headlight driver module.

It's still hard for me to picture how the speed bump could pull the whole liner off, unless it bent the front of the liner down and it got pinched between the speed bump and wheel, causing the wheel to rip it off.

I guess we'll have to wait for more details from the OP.
