Starter replacement

Some advice needed here please! I do not see how I am going to get the starter out of the car with out taking out several items.
Does anyone know what I will have to remove to get it out? There is NO room to do anything! Any suggestions?

I can not even see the starter, all I can see is the bottom of it. Power steering lines, something that is bolted onto the bottom of the oil pan? If I could see or feel the bolts or wire, but I cannot.

There are no power steering lines. HHR’s have electric power steering assist. The starter should be easy to see and easily accessible. UNLESS, your car has the vacuum assist pump added on. That was a dealer installed fix for the SS hard brake pedal problem.
Take some pictures. Post them here. Let us see what’s in the way.

You remove the starter from below! Jack the front up and support with quality jack stands.

Those long bolts are part of the starter, not the mounting.

Not the best angle for the picture. I think I can see the vacuum pump that I mentioned earlier. It appears to be on the right edge of the pictures.
If it is that pump and it is in the way of the starter, then you’ll just need to remove it to gain access to the starter.

Would be nice to see that pump from a little further away. Just to confirm.
