Had the same problem with my front struts about year ago. I disassembled the strut bearing. Used a lot of quality grease. Put it back together. It fixed the problem. Whoever building those bearings is barely putting any grease in there.

Agreed, I always apply more white lithium grease to even brand new strut bearings.
