what company makes the turbo?

ok thanks - that's what I thought. now - I bought the car new - had the stage 1 done at dealer 6 yrs ago. yesterday, boost went higher than normal when I punched it - about 23 psi - - then , no boost - - if I shut off car & restart, it re-sets it self & if I don't push it hard & control boost - all is well, but if I push it & boost gets up there, then no boost - - no light yet, but there is a " pending" code of p0234 - overboost. so, what is the fix?

My SS is bone stock, but I had the same problem late last year. I did a lot of research on it, you can check for boost leaks and vacuum leaks, but I suspect the boost control solenoid(or the wire connector), attached to the turbo.
I found a source here for it, but ended up buying a used turbo with the solenoid still attached from Tim(Blacktara). Have a read through the whole thread, as well as the thread I linked to at css(there'e a link to the wire connector there, too).

so gm has a tsb that states the wastegate rod is out of adjustment - - I don't believe that can be the case - I bought the car new & no one ever touched the turbo, so , how can the rod be out of adjustment on it's own? wouldn't it be out of adjustment from day 1? is it true the solenoid is not available seperatly - you have to replace the turbo just to get the solenoid?

Some people messed with their wastegate adjustment, trying to get power gains. It worked, but the gains were short-lived as the ECM imposed it's programming to bring it back down to 260 ft. lbs. of torque. Since you bought yours new, you know this is not the case with your vehicle.
Did you read the css thread I linked you to? According to the OP, who bought one and fixed his problem with it, and the person who told him about it, the newer Borg Warner turbos have a solenoid that is basically the same as ours. When I looked into it, Full-Race was the only shop who had it in stock.

thanks a lot to both of you!! so, Is it true that if I went to dealer to get this fixed, that they would have to replace the turbo, because the solenoid isn't available seperatly? I do have an extended warranty, but if I can fix this myself for less than my $100 deductible, I will. I assuming this is the correct fix for the p0234 overboost code.
