ZZP down pipe o2 sensor location issue

Searched the threads and can't find anything on this. I installed the new carted down pop and have found out the o2 sensor bung is about two inches further away from the engine so I cannot connect the sensor. Hans anyone dealt with this? Can I splice a extension to the wires or is that not possible due to the design of the wires?

Any help would be appreciated.

^^^ Say what ???

Seriously though. I wouldn't try splicing the O2 wiring. A call to ZZP sounds like the next step. Maybe they have an extension wire kit available.

Edit: Look what I found---http://zzperformance.com/ecotec/wire-harnesses-adapters/o2-extension-harness.html

But Steve. Will that fit a "carted down pop" ?

(Sorry. I can't resist poking fun sometimes. I'm guessing it's just a case of spellcheck going nuts.)

So far I have cycled the engine to operating temp and checked coolant when thermo opens up. So far so good. This head and gasket job was huge and probably will pay someone next time to fix it. I'm sore and my patience is thin. Lol

I had to exteend my wiring harness as well. Make sure the 02 isnt jammed against the heatshield. The wires were so tight against it I cut and grommited(?lol) the heat shied to keep everything safe.

Congrats on the head job! No easy task, but think of all that money you saved by doing it yourself.
