my ss with a gm stage one tune clutch is starting to slip in 3rd - 5th. im looking to sell the car in a year or so and dont plan on any more upgrades. would a stage one ky setup be ok?

Get the stage 3 it is not much more and will out last the stage 1.

170 dollar difference. That's a bit. how does the stage one compare to stock.

if you do not plan to add one single mod to your car,you might be okay...i suggest st 3 also. if you ever want to add something to your car...EVER, then your clutch will be able to handle the torque. $170 is not a bit more when considering the labor/time it will cost you just to do it over again a year or two down the road.

sorry just read your post about you selling it a year from now...go back to the stock clutch and drive normal.

Agreed. $170 more is just the clutch. The labor is the same, and is much more 4-6 hours @ $75-100 per hour.

Best to have a clutch that can handle more, and you wont stress it as much, which means it should last longer.

stock vs this

I'm at 108K miles with no sign of clutch problems on my 2.4 which has a stock power train. What is the cost difference between this and the stock clutch? Is there any reason to use this if one is not doing anything that uses extra power?

Not sure what the stock clutch cost for the 2.4L, I am sure the stage 1 KY is a better price.
