20's or 18's

Ive got the windows tinted... grill is on the way... now... rims,

20's look amazing but how big of a head ache will they be? (as far as rubbing)
Also how much of the smooth ride am i losing?

if 20s will cause me more problems then the looks i dont mind going to 18s.

my other question is the tire pressure sensor,

My dealer told me to be careful of what rims i get otherwise the light will be stuck on and they will have to turn off the sensor.... SO how do i know whats not going to mess that up or is that going to happen no matter what?

As always thank you for your assistance guys.

I cant comment on the size of the rim and how they ride since the biggest Ive ever ran is a 17" and thats on my car now. As far as the tpms goes you shouldnt have any problem what so ever. Just get the rims and install the sensors and you program per the owners manual. Ive never heard of that being an issue and I was told once that they couldnt turn off the sensors and if you didnt have them you would have to live with the light, thats why mine still have the sensors. I would much rather go with out them, just one less thing to have to worry about in my opinion.

I would have to say that 18's are the safe way to go, they will look great. I have 20's, and have no problems in the front, the back will rub a little with weight in the back....but mine is lowered. 20's not lowered should be no problem. Todd (uma)

Not sure how bad Chicago is but I would not even try 20's around here with all the bad roads we have. I wince now with my 18's every time I hit a pothole

Agreed. If the roads around there are relatively smooth and don't have a lot of potholes, I'd go with 20's. I went with 18's on mine because the roads around here are riddled with holes that could swallow a small car. Plus, I got a GREAT deal on them.

You can spend far less than $1000 if you do some searching and are patient.

Do you know what style of rim you're looking for? A lot of people here have gone with other factory GM wheels that look great on their HHR's
