I have Solstice wheels on my HHR and I used 1/4" spacers on all 4 wheels. Didnt change out the studs though, I bought some Extended Tip Lug Nuts and no problems.225/45R18 tires on mine also. When I first installed the wheels and tires they rubbed on the strut in the front so I had to space them out to avoid that.

Spacers on the rear? Did you do that so the off set is the same all the way around?

Question 245/45/18?

Anyone know if a 245/45/18 tire will work with proper accessories?

245/45/18s will throw you speedometer off considerably. Your speedo will show you going 56.9 when you are actually doing 60. With 245/40/18s your speedo will show you going 59 when you are doing 60, 245/35/18s will show you doing 61.3 when doing 60, all the previously mentioned tire sizes will work with 8" wide rims, and 255/35/18s will show you doing 60.6 when doing 60 but requires 8.5" wide rim. Hope this helps.
