I have an 06 and will be ready to replace tires soon. Was thinking about putting steel rims (painted) with white walls and baby moons. I have heard that if I choose to do this I will have to make some changes. How extensive, and what kind of changes will be required to do this?

Well,, if you are into tempting death; you would get an adapter that goes fro 5X110 to 5X115 from a specialty rim shop. Why not just get 18 inch rims that are made for the job?

X2. But if you already have the rims , this style adapter is required

https://www.ebay.com/itm/5x110-to-5x...0720525?_ul=CA

remember , these must have the fasteners torqued properly!

adapters of good quality are made of billet aircraft aluminum and Bolt on to your current lugs and provide a new set of lugs. They are safe when properly torqued . They are used on duallies to allow for mounting of semi wheels and can hold just as much as your factory hub can so not cheating death however spacer plates are a bad thing cause they use some of the students length

keep an eye on stock stud bolt length, if its above the edge of the adapter, you could have some major problems down the road (pun intended... lol)
seriously though, if studs stick above the lip, you have to either shave them down or replace with a shorter stud.
