Center Caps for Stock Rims

I have the HHR Lt with 16in black 5 star style rims with the silver wheel covers. I took the wheel covers off the other day and was looking at the flat black stock rim and kind of like them...if they were painted and I could find some sort of center cap to cover the Lugs.

Does anyone know of a center cap that will fit that stock rim?

I was thinking of painting them gloss black, with a center cap. Would look awesome. Let me know if you know of anything.

Good luck on the center cap plan, since there are no clips or bumps to retain a center cap..

yeah, I was wondering about that. I am looking to see if there was ever one that may have been held on by clipping to, or fitting around the lugnuts somehow. I was thinking that there used to be one on an older Chevy that hooked to the lugs somehow, but I'll have to do some checking around. The only thing I'll be out is time if I don't find anything....

I painted the centers, could not find a center cap that worked. You can see it in my pics. I have the circle design stock wheels.

There were different center caps that went on somehow hooked to the lugs. But haven't found any cheap enough to give it a try. Made them for some Impalas and S10's

Centercap needed

Somebody seems to have stolen one of my center caps so I'm looking to score a replacement for this wheel. It's available from the dealer but I simply can't afford the cost. Anybody got one they no longer need and want to part with at a reasonable price???

You should put up a "Wanted" post for this in the forum classifieds... it will get more response I believe...... May be a hard part to track down though, Good luck.

Doesn't "center cap" refer to the small circular emblem in the middle of the hubcap? I think what "daddy" was referring to was a hub cover (i.e. a spider hub cover). I painted my 5-spoke steelies white to match the car but have not been able to find a covering for the center hub. I have a picture in my gallery.

I think these are them. You can get them from Ebay for cheap. Here's the link to a single one...

Or you could upgrade to these.

I believe they will fit...

I looked at my friend's mid 90's s-10 today and noticed that it had a center cap on the stock wheels that threaded onto the lugs just like out wheel covers do. I am planning on asking him if I can take one off and see if it threads up.

Here is one similar

Hate to burst your bubble, but I'll save you some trouble(unintentional rhyme honest), the S-10 uses a 5 X 120mm bolt circle while the HHR is a 5 X 110mm so they won't fit I'm afraid.
