Goodyear Tire Review

Installed the Goodyear ASSURANCE FUEL MAX 215/55/16 about 3000 mile's ago.. Very quiet ride, very sticky feeling seems to grab the road and stay :) Great in rain, so far very happy, I have a tire tread gauge so Ill be checking wear as well! I run at 33 psi,, MPG about the same! At $130.00 per tire and $40.00 Rebate not the cheapest but I am happy :)

I had the Assurance Max for the last set of tires and I had some alignment issues and ruined the tires as they became scalloped. They sounded like I was running snow tires. I got great mileage with them, but when I replaced them with some Cooper tires as the prices of the Goodyears were a lot more than what you paid.

Radco,

I'm looking for quiet and softer ride with reasonable handling for my 2LT.
What tires were on your HHR before you made this change and could you tell a difference in ride quality/harshness as well as quiet?

I am currently running Michelin Ice 3 and they are quiet and reasonably soft but hate to leave them on year around if I can find the right all season or touring tire with std. load.

I was running I assume the OEM Firestone's.. With them I drifted to the left! But so far I really like these tires.. The Rebate helped me decide plus the tire/auto parts store 's are having a tire war saying they will beat everyone's price :)

So far so good for me with the GY tire's.. The Firestone's I had drifted to the left! And now tracks straight! So far I have around 3k on them but will keep a eye on them to see if they also scallop ! Thanks for your info! Hope I do not have the same problem as you did!
