Kidney-hole wheels on eBay HHR?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/RETRO...Q5fAccessories

I folks. I like the looks of the wheels on this HHR woody on eBay. They remind me of the rims on the original StingRay racer. Who makes these things? Best wishes, and God Bless, Marc

I found them. They are made for the HHR and remind me of the Halibrands. Here they are.....

Yes these are knock offs of the Hildy wheels. I wonder how good they are?

They are the only FWD versions I have seen.

At least they are manufactured in Japan instead of China like everything else...I called Mooneyes about them a while back. Wish they made them in 18" though...

Is $215.00 per wheel high? I have never bought aftermarket wheels, so I am not savvy on such things. What would factory 17" alloys cost? Also, selling used factory rims would help offset the cost. God Bless, Marc

Better wheels don't start till you reach two hundred and up. Good wheels are even more.

I take it you want wheels that look like Magniesum? You do not want to drive them on the street made of that material. The look alikes are made of stonger materiral though heavier. Also I do not think you will find that style as with the positive offset of the FWD wheels they would not look right. They would be awfuly shallow.

Those look like the American Racing Wheel- Salt Flat's. http://asp.americanracing.com/dealer...ga/mVN5701.jpg

Too bad they don't have any with the HHR bolt pattern though...

It is not just the bolt pattern buy the offset of the wheels. You need to make sure they are a positive off set for FWD.

THis often limits your choice more than anything.

Not so fast. :-) It looks like this site is showing they can order custom backspacing and custom bolt circle. I don't have $1,000 to spend right now, but if I did, I call these folks and ask about some 17x7's.
God Bless, Marc
