Any reports on using the Michelin LTX "M+S" tires? Folks, these are some EXPENSIVE tires; if they would really work year round - including Michigan snow - I would be tempted to spring for a set.

Never used them, I’ve been using BF Goodrich Advantage T/A’s
and up here in the Great White North, they are great all year long.
Hib Halverson and some others loved their GoodYear Triple Threads.
Try tgem and report every couple of weeks, maybe you’ll help someone

Not exactly for comparison but I've gone through 2 sets of 265/16 LTX's on my Dodge truck. 90k on the 1st set and about 65k on the set I just took off. They are (or were at the time) made from a very hard rubber compound. Decent ride, no road noise and gripped well in the rain. No snow down here so can't comment on that.
Yes they are expensive but worth it for the miles I got out of them. Both sets were on the truck for 8 years each set.

Try them?

Thanks, Old Blue, your advice as always is appreciated. That said, I am surely not in a position to "try" an $:850 set of tires, without some kind of positive report on them, in the size I might want to use.

I just meant for you to report , your experience with those tires, I don’t see anything about size or taking a chance or risk .

LTX's are truck/SUV tires. Went on Tire Rack to see what LTX sizes are available. I don't see any that are sized for the HHR. I did see several varieties of the LTX line, but no comparable sizes.
Maybe you have a link or better description of what you're looking at ?
Fwiw. I did see your other post about wanting to go with 225/45/18's on the Soltice rims. Now you're talking a performance size tire and I'm pretty sure they don't make the LTX line in that size.

They do not make the tire in the 18" size I prefer.
