Just curious /

1) would like to know how many miles did you have on your HHR before you replaced tires?

2) and what did you replace with.

I replaced the OEM Firestone's at about 38,000 miles when I bent one of the factory wheels hitting a pothole

I just go by mileage as with the way you drive and care for your tires can make a big differance.

Highway miles can let tires live a long life. But stop and go can kill off 10,000 miles easy from their life. Many for get stopping wears tires too.

With Factory tires of any kind the average seems to be about 30,000 miles and will vary with type of tire.

I had my new 2007 2LT HHR for two week and we had a half of inch of snow. The OEM tires spun like a washing machine in the high spin mode. So I put on Michelin Pilot Exacta A/S. They have 33,000+ miles on them and still have 5/32 on the tread. They work exceptionally well in both wet and dry pavement. Picture below is when they were brand new.

I got my car at 14k miles, and replaced the Firestone tires at 15k miles. I really disliked the ride....rock-like to me. I replaced them with Kumho Solus KH16 tires in the same size. Quite, very smooth riding, and do as good as can be expected in the rain. I have put close to 5k on them so far. I don't think they will get the mileage of the Firestones, but I really don't care. They stick well too, better than the Firestones from what I can tell. That is my experience, but others swear by the Firestones. To each his own. God Bless, Marc

My tires were replaced by the dealer before I bought it. They had 33k on them, and they were replaced with the exact same things.

Changed at around 30k but only because I got a killer deal on some cobalt 17"s with pirelli PZeros on them. Would of kept alot longer, loved the stock tires I had no problems and a great ride to me, but couldnt pass up the deal.
