changing tire size

changing tire size

will a 225/60R16 fit on my 2011 HHR?

Michelin 225/60R/16 Defender shows 26.6"

Drop back to 215/60R/16 and your good to go. 26.1"

215/60's are usually cheaper than 215/55's. With longer warranty.

Might get a slightly softer ride with the 60 aspect ratio could be one reason.
I am considering it myself.

Also be aware that quite a few tires made for the HHR are XL. Especially the winter tires.

For a softer ride you would want SL.

Wider stance and tread width. Should give slightly better handling.

Close enough to not throw the speedo off much if that matters.

Not sure of ride quality change with same Standard aspect ratio as Stock ??
