New Tire recomendations for SS?
After Nazgul 9 sent me a meesage about tire rack. I checked them out.

Unfortunately shipping drives the price for four for me to 650.00. My local place quoted me 705.00 installed and out the door. I doubt I could buy the tires including shipping and only pay 55.00 to have the installed, balanced, and for them to check my alignment too.
Lets keep looking and see if we can beat tire rack's price and my local place for the best price.

After further research I decided on Goodyear F1 Asymetrical 245/40/18 but the SS rim is 1/2" too narrow.
So I ordered Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus in the stock 225/45. Discount Tire Direct had them for an unbeatable price! $580 shipped after rebates and promotions. I did spring for road hazard as they threw in 1 tire worth of coverage so that was an extra $66.

I was running 40frt and 38rear on my 245-40-17 Gdys. Seem to get the best ride, wear , and handling. A lot of people like to run lower pressure to conserve the ride but that is real bad for low profile tires. Lower pressure cause excessive heat build up, and causes the tire to be overloaded which results in bead separations and rapid wear.
