Pirelli Centurion P7 tires

I just ordered a set of four Pirelli Centurion P7 tiers from Tire Rack and had them installed this morning on my 2007 LT2. I drove 25 miles back to the house with a combination of curvy two lane roads and four lane highway in the rain. All I can say so far is, wow what a difference from the old no name junk that was on it when I bought the car. Right away pulling out on the road I could feel the difference, much softer ride, much better steering response and for sure much better traction in the rain. I debated for a week whether to bite the bullet and buy a good tire versus putting on a cheaper tire to save money, I am so glad I went with my gut feeling and put on the better tires.

Good deal. Give us another update in a few months once you get a few more miles on it as well if you can.

I sure will.

Pirelli Centurion ? I tried to look those up but can't find a "Centurion" listed.

Can someone clear up the name of these tires ?

Perhaps he means "Cinturado". In fact, I'm sure he does since I had those tires on one of our past vehicles. We have Pirelli P Zero Nero's on the Benz now. Both are good tires.

Thanks Stephen.

Sorry Cinturato, old brain is slow sometimes.

So Royl,

How about an Update on these tires ???

Main thing for me is Noise level and ride quality.

And ..of course, any other things you like

I now have about 10,000 miles on the tires and could not be happier. They show no wear, still fairly quiet and have excellent traction on wet and dry roads. They ride very good and do not hydroplane. They are not cheap but I think they are worth every penny.

Good to hear.

What cold air pressures are you using front and rear ??

I assume you have 17" with a 2LT.
Did you replace the OE. factory "Firestones" when you put on the Pirelli's?

I am considering going to the 205/60/16 with a 2010 1 LT and 30lbs cold.

I put this combo on my 2011 2LT last year and it did make a difference in the ride quality. I had to use the steel OE. 5 spoke wheels to do it tho.
Because I did not change the FE-3 suspension in any way I did not see any noticeable reduction in handling even though I thought I would.
