Red face Solstice wheels fit!!??

I took my wheel and tire off of the pass. front of my HHR and put just the Solstice wheel on the hub assembly. It worked fine! It did not rub any where!
I jack the driver side up also and spun the stock tire and wheel to see if there was a problem. It spun freely. But It was just the wheel no tire. I can see that it is going to be a close fit, but I want to try a 225 45 18 on it. Anyone new seen it done?

Exclamation

I saw the pic the Red HHR with the Solstice wheels on it and it looks like the factory Sol. tires 245 45 18 = 26.72" 9.68" wide. Dang!!! Moster truck HHR.

He did not need spacers He needed a lift kit!

I went down to my local Discount Tire Co. and tried on a 225 45 18 on the wheel and it worked. No rubbing!!! They ordered the other tires and will be in in a few days.

I just got a set. I have 235/40/18 tires on my wheels. I put one on the driver front and it was rubbing the strut. If you use a thinner tire you may not have any problems, but the offset's are much different. Solstice 55 HHR I think 45. I am going to use spacers on mine which means I will be installing longer wheel studs. Just waiting for the bad weather to stop before putting them on.

Several have put those on here and they all had to run spacers while using a 225 tire. offset just requires it since it's a RWD wheel.

But they do look good.....

i don't know about wheel spacers..i heard nothing good about them... worn out bearings, uneven tire wear, get cracked/broken, and sometimes vibration.
