I have the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S...they are an extened wear 400AA tire that is supposed to be good for 45,000 miles. I've got almost 10k on them now and they are great. they virtually eliminate 2nd gear wheelspin (with hahn tune), cornering is great, wet weather traction is good...realistically no tire is going to stay glued in the rain with 300+ ft.lbs of torque...

all in all I am very happy with them

i got my hands on some bridgestone potenza re01 for dirt cheap.....these tires are bad ass....in the rain they have been second to none, but with my driving style I hope to see 15k out of them but I tend to go through tires.....

I looked at those but may go with the new GT they just came out with last yeat. My buddies Cobalt SS has them and they have been great in rain and snow with low noise. Also they are priced very well.

The sidewall on them is very sculpted and looks good.

I may put a set of F-1s the non allseason version on my Fiero. I like the ones with the V pattern tread. My other buddy has a set on his Z and they have been a very good tire.

I'm running Dunlop Direzza, a little pricey but great traction and very quiet.
To quote Nelly, "I'm gettin good grip from the Dunlop Tires-
The F1's bumpin' but I need the volume higher".

I had the Dunlop Direzzas on my old Blazer Xtreme and loved them. Probably what I'll get when its time. The Michelins are wearing okay but are useless in the rain.

Dunlop is a good buy as they are nearly the same as the more expensive Goodyears. Dunlop is owned and made by Goodyears in the same plants.

I had good luck with some Toyo tires on my SSEI. THey wore well and had good traction in all kinds of weather.

I looked at the Dunlop Direzzas also, as they have great ratings, but according to the TireRack spec list they are made in Japan, and part of my criteria was made in USA only.

US company with plants all over the world. Money stays here!

Sort of like the HHR made in Mexico.

Yes they are. I'll ASSume they went with them for acoustic reasons....becasue it certainly wasn't the wet traction.
