It really does sound like I will be able to fit the 215/55R17 Blizzaks on my SS without issue. I think I am going to go for it. A bit taller and a bit slimmer than the 225/45R18 Pilots should be good for winter driving.

I fit 215/55R17 WS-50 Blizzaks onto my SS, super grippy, stiff sidewall and lightwieght on the MSW 11's. These WS-50s are on closeout from tirerack going fast at $75! They fit great.
