Question Tires on the SS

Ok so it's really geting close to time for the OEM (JUNK cough)tires to come off, Whats everyone else running. I have noticed there's a limited amount of selection in this size. I was thinking of going with a 225/40/18 in stead of the 45 series bigger selection. Whats yall's input and comments on your tires and size change?

I went with a BCT S800 in a 235/40. I didn't need an extremely high performance tire to get all of this 150HP to the ground I got them for a pretty good price and they've done their job

Damn, take your SS back if your only getting 150HP!

I'll be watching this thread, I aim to swap out the stockers soon.

I got General Exclaim UHP in the stock 225/45/18 size. I am pleased with them and the price was right. They have even performed well in moderate snow this winter(Tire rack recommends against using them as A/S but General labels them as A/S tires).

Living here in the Tire Capital

Michelin/BFG/Uniroya l= French

Firestone Bridgestone = Japan

Contenental/General = Germany

Goodyear/Dunlop/Kelly Springfield = America.

We have all of these along with Kumo and Hankook tech centers here in town. The latter two and Goodyear are the only ones that have not really dumped on the city here and have invested in this city. The rest take the money and ran.

Goodyear is building a new headquarters here and is going to keep thousands of jobs here that they could have moved very easy if they had wanted too.

I plan on using the new Eagle GT the next time I change tires. Goodyear often adds rebates to the tireracks price that removes another 40-50 dollars form the price of 4 tires.

I know two people now that are using the new GT and they love them. They do make even better Eagles but the GT is the best for the money.
