All 4 Tpms sensors are reading correctly all 4 tires are set at 35 lbs cold but my light will not go off. It is not blinking it remains solid any ideas? Thanks for the help and sorry if this has been already answered I looked and couldn't find anything.

Welcome to the site, it will depend on the year of your HHR

Welcome to the site. :thumb:

Posting the year and model of your car will help us to help you.

You say the tires are at 35 psi. Do you mean that the tires read 35 using a tire gauge AND this matches the car instrument panel reading of the tires ?
If so, you may need to try a TPMS sensor match.(any chance someone rotated the tires and didn't complete the sensor match ? )

The process is outlined in your owners manual. Without the year model, not sure which one of the 2 different process' your car uses.

His profile says it is a 2008 - so if he checks page 5-65 in his owners manual, he can to that sensor match procedure.

Isn't 35psi cold out of spec?

Sorry it is a 2008 ls. I just had new tires installed and had sensors installed my old tires did not have sensors My receipt says they matched the sensors but I have not verified it for myself. Yes the tires are at 35 and it matches the instrument panel. I should probably verify the sensors are matched.
Thanks for the help and thanks for the welcome

My 08 2lt states 35 psi.

08 had some reprogram issues. But in most caches it would just read dashes for the tire psi.

Try to do the sensor Match. If it would do the relearn with the key fob you need the reflash done at the dealer

Brion 01-08-2016 05:45 PM

I did the sensor match the light is still on I set all 4 wheels at 30 the recommended pressure so I guess I need a reflash any idea what the dealer charges for this.
Thanks

Not sure what the dealer charges but there is a TSB listed on our site regarding this on the 2008's. Don't have time to look it up again but I think it was post #55 in that thread.

Another option you could try is the battery "lobotomy". Disconnecting the battery (ground cable only please ! ) for 20-30 minutes to let the cars systems reboot. Never know. It may work and save you some dealer charges.

Here's that thread on the TSB: https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/prob...d-23231/page6/

Was the light on before?
Does the PSI read on the DIC?/Are the new TPS the correct ones?
