My 2011 HHR 1LT. Last week dashboard light came on, left front TPMS sensor went dead. Added/removed air to try to get it to wake up, nothing. Not surprised nor upset that it bit the dust at this age.

Took it to Costco, $65/tire all-in. They rebalanced each tire after installing the new sensors. This was one repair I could not do on my own, so the cost did not bother me, it seemed fair. Did all four as the other three were probably going to also die soon. Originals were rubber stem, replacements are metal stem. If the car is still running and with me when these need to be replaced, I'll be very happy.

Good deal, I have the equipment and time to install EBay GM sensors $35.00 for 4 . But my tire machine was an Amazon deal 50.00 bucks free shipping.

Read your Owner Manual (link in my sig). The 2010-2011 does not respond to the air in/out procedure.

At the time, I didn't really care - saw the double dashes for tire pressure, dash board light and service message. It wasn't going to hurt.

I bet 90% of HHR's and all other 2011 and older cars have their TPM light on...

No doubt. I was more than willing to live with it, unfortunately it would cause the car to fail my state inspection, simply because of the dashboard light. I checked. Pretty stupid, but true.
