I have Goodyear TripleTreds, no problems with the snow, and I am 150 miles to the east of you in WNY.

I haven't ever run snow tires but I may need to now. It's October and it's snowing like crazy here already!

I'm going with the Dunlap SP Winter Sport 3D. I was going with the Bridgestone Blizzac but they weren't available in the correct size so they found these, virtually equally well rated & considerably less expensive (as in close to $50 per tire). They have them in now so I have to arrange a pick up / install soon.

This will be my 2nd season with studded 225/60/16 Wintermaster Plus. They go pretty good in iowa winters.

I have the hankook w409s, they seemed ok last year, but we didnt get deep enough in the white stuff to give them a workout. Heard from quite a few owners that they do just fine though.

I just use the all season radials..... the firestones on my ride. They are new
and this will be the first winter with my HHR so I will see how she does in
the light snow we get here.

I was out playing in the mess this morning, just running all seasons. Part of my trip only takes an hour, but today it took almost 2. Most stretches had an inch or two of snow on the road and I had no problems.

Did see a Dodge Ram on its side in the median, though. No one hurt.

General altimax Arctic snow tires. Look them up on tire rack. Very highly rated. Fairly inexpensive but worked great for me last year. You can get them with or without studs (mine are without). I just put mine back on this weekend and had no problems in the snow yesterday. Should be able to get at least 4-5 seasons at about 10-12k per year on them.
