Easy answer AFAIK: NO. At least not without some modifications like: rolled fenders, removal of the inner splashguards, ultra low profile tires no wider than 8", etc. 20's will fit fine as long as you stay with an 8" wide tire and keep the circumference as close to 26" +/-. A few on here (both LT1'S and 2's as well as SS's) are running on 20's. Do a search here and I'm sure you'll get tire sizes that'll suit your needs. If you're handy at fabrication then go for the 22's and be outside of the box. Good luck!

I tried 22's and they did not fit. The spring mount in front rubbed the tire pretty bad.I do think they will work with air ride. The air strut gives you more room. 245/35/20 and 225/35/20 both sizes work. The 245's rub the rear inner fender when there are people riding in back. Hope that helps.

gangster moblie, here is shot of 20x8 with 245/30/20 BFG KDW tires. The HHR is lowered with Eibach springs. By the way these wheels and tires are for sale. Wheels and tires were taken off before winter and have about 3k miles on them. Mint Cond. $800.00 Plus shipping.

Let me know, i will make it worth your time. Wheels and tires are PERFECT! Matter of fact they have never been in the rain and insides where polished weekly. These have been sitting in the spare bedroom ever since. I thought maybe i would find a Black panel at a decent price and put them on but no luck so far. As for the brembo brakes i could not tell you, sorry.
