Winter tire issue

Hi! I'm new here, have a 07 Burnt Orange (or sunburst orange, can't remember what they call it) HHR that I love. People laugh, but I say I never lose my car in a parking lot, and its hard to ignore a bright orange car coming at you so I should never get into an accident. Anyways, my issue is this: I have 15" winter tires from my old 05 Grand Am. I would like to use these on my HHR which has 16" wheels. Problem is the bolt pattern is different, GA is 5 x 115 and HHR is 5 x 110. I am having a hard time finding 15" rims for my HHR. Every store tells me that 07 HHR's only have 16" rims. Will these 15's fit on my car? And where in the world can one buy 15" rims to fit this car?? I do live in Canada so.....

The orange of the HHR is called Sunburst Orange Metallic or SOM for short.

Due to the difference in bolt patterns the GA rims will not fit the HHR.

There are members here who have found 15" rims to fit the HHR for the winter, but I don't remember since that doesn't affect me here in Miami.

Look for Saab 9-3 rims, Saturn L200/L300 rims, Cadillac Catera. The newer Chevy Malibu and Pontiac G6 rims fit, but there are probably no 15" rims available for them.

The 15" rims do fit on Non-SS HHRs; mine are from an L200.

For example, this is currently available in my area:

Good luck,

Yves

Yeah, I found out the hard way the GA rims wouldn't fit. Thanks for the tips on other rims though. DreamHHR: that is a good deal for rims except the shipping to Alberta would probably cost more than the rims!

Canadian Tire has them for around $50 each brand new. I'm sure that WallMart has them too. Just don't tell them that they are for an HHR... or they'll argue.

I bought my steel 15's from tire rack. $35 a piece. ....and they are for my hhr with the correct offset.

My 15's are very close to my calipers...but clear fine.

Just checked they are $46 a piece now....

That's what I would wonder, will 15" wheels clear the brake calipers. The rear is obviously not an issue but the front could be. Before buying anything I would make absolutely sure it will work.

Well, the spare for my car is a 15" so I think regular 15" would fit. I actually got as far as putting the GA rims on, obviously they didn't go on all the way but I was sure there was enough room to clear the calipers.

I bought 15'' steel wheels at my local tire shop (5x110) fit perfectly for winter.
