Should I be proud that some kid 👦 in an 03ish gt got smoked by my little ss?

He had me half way through the intersection when my turbo joined the party 🎉.lol
Bam, went into 2nd as I started catching up. We were window to window when i hit 3rd and watched him slowly disappear.

I thought it would be somewhat even, but he started it😄


And I didn't have my ultragauge connected😒

 

Nice to beat his sorry pony, but I don't condone street racing of any kind, take it to the drag strip or road track on a Saturday afternoon!
Up here that show would have cost you your licence and your HHR would have been crushed with a health $25,000.00 fine to boot. Same for Mustang Sally.
Invigorating as it was, please don't street race, it isn't worth it.

Now to find some scca events and such-just to see how many traffic cones i can knock over!

 

Reason yes, my best friend lost his pride and joy Corvette three years ago, the police caught him and two other guys racing on the street, all their vehicles were impounded and crushed, and I wouldn't want to see anybody smacking a tree or other bystanders if something broke and you lost control.
I got a few warnings and tickets in my day with a souped up 327 dual four barrel 67 Chevy pick'em up back in the day , I was so much more proud to bring home a time ticket for the 1/4 mile as proof of how fast I went!
