08 HHR SS vs 05 Mustang vs 12 Dodge Charger
#13
Some info on the 2012 Mustang V6...
HP: 305 @6500 rpms
TQ: 280 @4250 rpms
WT: 3453 lbs
0-60: 5.9 seconds (stick)
I think these would be a close race (stock vs stock) with the SS 5spd...auto would lose by a hair(unless of course the 'stang is auto too)
But the SS's tuned are gonna be faster, definitively faster from a roll....
you can only do so much to a N/A engine to make it more powerful, without a complete rebuild.
I think its funny that the V6 stang use to be a joke, but it packs a punch now...
FWIW the LNF makes 130 hp per liter, closer to 150-160 tuned...if the 3.7l V6 was the same ratio of power, it would make 550 horsepower...Ironic when you look at what the ecoboost V6(twin turbo), which makes 400hp/400tq stock...that engine could crank out some serious power with the right tune...I don't like Ford all that much, but the Taurus SHO might be one of the biggest sleepers around if tuned

Look i appreciate what you guys are saying but the bottom line is that this car is a sleeper from the get go. And to say that our rides are as fast if not faster than what people call "sports cars" like the scion FRS or the Evo 9MR both of which my friends own and both of which I beat in a race, is something to be proud of. Yes the mustang has alot less HP than my HHR and yes the charger is heavier but people would see the mustang or charger against a HHR SS and think "this mustang/charger has that little wagon beat" then jaws drop as I zoom by. I'm just saying I'm happy to have a car that #1 isn't a very common sight on the road #2 is practical #3 performs and handles like a champ and #4 makes some of those fancy more expensive 2 door coups look like slow turds, That's all I'm saying
