So I am on 71 coming out of Columbus tonight and I am just passing by a rest stop I am in the middle of a 3 lane section going 75 with cruise on.. when I see this mustang come out of the rest stop just hauling...

Well he cuts across from the merge all the way to the left hand lane.. coming damn close to the front of my car as he came across.. I had to break...At that point my ego/pride overrode my good sense.. has this is a know cop alley... and I push the pedal down and go from about 68 to 85 then 90 and I am now almost caught up with him..

He must have seen me coming because he laid on the pedal and widen the distance between to about two car lengths ... at this point I had decided I was going all or nothing and pushed my foot to the floor and watched my boost guage jump from about 15 psi to 24 psi and I was gone... I passed him going 120mph and never looked back...I didn't slow until I got into a higher traffic area and has he came up on me I had brought it down to about 75 again and he got even with me I looked over and he just nodded and moved over to get off at the next exit...

This was my first race since I got my tune and I would say I did pretty good .. true it was not a Mustang GT but them V6's have over 300hp.. and honestly he never had a chance once the boost kicked up

Boy did I get to see how true that is tonight... I was actually shocked how fast it took off....

not to burst your bubble BUT a stock 2012 v6 Mustang only puts down around 250whp/225wtq and weigh more than the HHR SS.

you're probably putting down about 300whp/350wtq??

Yes that is correct :) and it's ok I am still happy with it.. because I had power to spare.....

Nice Kill....unfortunately the new GT's are pretty fast but not invincible, 0-60 in 4.8, 1/4 in 13.0 sec.... with enough work the SS it can be beat. but with any serious work done to the GT and its in the low 12's....the stock shelby is in the mid 11's if I remember right....0-60 in 3.5 or so

Nicely put and so true. I get such a rush.

The Shelby's are sweet and I've only ever seen one on the road, female driver who was punching the **** out of it and that Mustang roars when you step on it.

there was a baby blue gt(2012) with black skunk stripes at my local track...he ran close to 8 flat every time. pretty quick if you ask me...Im not a ford guy by any means
