Well In the moth of Oct GMC Reported that 17% of HHR Buy's traded in Non-GMC Car's. So thats got to mean something. I wonder how many of them were PT's

The HHR can't stand in with a turbo equipped Cruiser. Just too much of a HP difference. That being said, I would rather come in second with my HHR than first in a Cruiser!

Or just put your own turbo on the HHR and kick the PT GTs a**. I cant wait for turbo systems to come along for the HHR.

I seen a PT in the snow yesterday trying to drive and he was slideing all over the road.

There are alot more parts, and upgrades for the PT. Then again its been out for a few years. Give the HHR a few years and it would be a tied.

I just don't see the point in modding an HHR to be fast. Doesn't make any sense to me. Slap a turbo on it and full exhaust, intake, etc. and still get waxed by bone stock Camaro's, Mustangs, Vettes, and a lot of other things. I'm gonna mod mine but not to be fast, I'll pick up another platform better suited for that when the speed bug bites again.

The element of surprise. I have heard of race preped Ecotecs pushing 1000 hp. I know thats not a daily driver or anything but it proves you can push high hp though our engine. Anything I drive I want to be fast. If I get smoked by a mustang, camaro, or vette cool. But image the feeling of kicking ones a** with a little 4 cylinder HHR. I would feel like I have the hugest set of balls in the world.

So if your not going to mod for speed, then what else? Exterior/Interior/ and sound?

You won't ever beat one of those unless they are extremely poorly driven. The bottom end of the ecotec can't take much more than 300hp tops. Thats not even gonna get with a bus length of the above mentioned cars, in stock form, in a race. Those raced prepped ecotecs are nothing like what any production car comes with, it's comparing apples to oranges.
