Yeah. and I'm not paying for it, but said it's going to take about a week and a half to fix it once they start. It's a small body shop close to where I live, but they do very good work. So it will be worth the wait.

I thought it would actually be in the rear and not on the side. I wouldn't worry to much about the cost of repairs seeing as how you'll probably only have to pay your deductible. All you would be doing is trying to save your insurance company money. 
Who cares about cost when they are covering most of the bill, I only care about quality. 
I myself would just take it to the best shop in town and just let the insurance cover the bill. That way you know you'll be getting the best repair possible. That's my technique for anytime I have needed to get my car fixed after an accident.
