My father drives an 04 TB with the I-6 and I actually raced him when I first got my SS.....it hung suprisingly well with the SS. Powerband that feels more like a BMW where it comes alive over 4000 rpms. Posted 0-60 for the I-6 TB's is anywhere from 7.4-8.2 seconds....that's not too shabby. Now the EXT versions are heavy pigs and post 10+ sec. 0-60.

so an I6 TB "hung surprisingly well" with an SS, which a 2.2 will not do...

Lol JonBoy. Nice to know. I'll have to time my 0-60 one day. But I swear he was trying but was lagging behind.

He could have been in need of a tune up. Maybe that's why he lost?

Every vehicle is different, every engine is different, every driver is different. Now that's out of the way, right on 1151! I can't see why a 2.2 can't take a tubby TB off the line at will. The I-6 in the TB's is nice and smooth but I've never been that impressed with it and they kinda sound like a tractor when revved. Now if you'll 'scuse me, there are riceboy Acura's that need taught a lesson out there, and Paddy is feelin' grumpy today.

By hung suprisingly well I mean I got a good jump on it, then he paced pretty consistent to interstate speeds, but over about 70 started to walk him pretty bad. I never expected to see it stay with me in the 20-70 range.

Obviously this was pre-mods so it would be a full out arse-whoopin' now
