Why do slow cars insist on challenging the HHR SS??

Wow! I had no idea that an HHR could go over 80. I have the bone stock 2008 LT 2.2. Not the most powerful engine but does the job, which is what I want.
Maybe a little off topic, but I know the feeling of driving a sleeper and smoking the unsuspecting. My other "car" is a 1965 Chevy Van with a 292 inline 6, headers, HEI, 2 bbl Weber, etc. It is built for travel trailer towing, but running solo it is wickedly fast, I enjoy quickly accelerating past beamers etc., when they start to go by me on the freeway (I ususally cruise below 60 mph). And it absolutely leaps off the starting line with all that torque. There are a bunch of us with fast early vans on Vintage Chevy Van Club (a few of us also drive HHR's). We post this exact kind of thread on VCVC.

Heck, I even get this sometimes with my panel. Maybe because it's 'different' from the other HHR's.
On the right day the 2.2 will put up a fight, but my street racing days are pretty much behind me. I drive a lot in my line of work, and my license is my paycheck.
