Well I got the car home and apart and my hunch was correct, there’s isn’t a c clip where there should be one. The old one must have came off when I removed the old half shaft and in my haste I didn’t check. My issue is finding one. I have relentlessly scoured the internet but I can’t seem to find a part number. Maybe some kind soul here has a number or a link to where I can get a new one? I’d be forever grateful
