Front Bumper Question

How much play should I have on the front bumper? I know it has been removed and rehung at least three times in the cars history and I was wondering if it should wiggle a little bit or at all.

They usually wiggle a tiny bit. When they get re-installed sometimes tabs get broken or missed. Sometimes the installer even throws the inner foam part away, this is the actual bumper and MUST be there for your safety.

Well , you could open the patient up and inspect! Some members have addressed the looseness by adding in some closed cell foam strips!

Thanks guys, from what I can gather I have nothing to worry about. All the foam is in the bumper and it is meeting with the fenders. I was planning on getting the bumper repainted this summer anyways so we will see what it is like by then

So, is front bupper retaining tape (duct tape) not an option in Canada?

And where would you apply duct tape ? I know the foam packaging works well and stops the noise, No adhesive required.

Somehow I responded to the incorrect thread.
Can I blame the AZ heat?

You sure can! They use Bear Bond for NASCAR.
