Interesting to see a stock intake system with an additional filter....seems to me would be chocking the motor.......????

actually i got the idea from enoomnai, you take the stock filter off the stock intake. then you put a filter on the tube that goes to the fender. thanx enoomnai. i hope i spelled your name right.

I like the red "R" idea, but why not get the red "R" for an SSR? Would keep it Chevy and the "R" on the SSR I think looks better. Just MHO.

Your truck looks very  !!

Chris
Now you need to go to the Dealership Parts Department and purchase the Red in color GM SS for the doors. That would really set it off. It looks nice

That's what I was about to ask. Did you buy the silverstone boards off of ebay or something? Not knocking your ride by any means because I love the rims and so forth but IMO the running boards seem kind of out of place being a different color. Are you planning on two toning the rest of your HHR or painting the boards to match?

I'm w/ the Capt. on this. The boards look out of place being the only part "2 toned".

well i did buy them off ebay from this GM parts dealer. i was thinking if i put them on now it would match the handle, grille and so on. it was on purpose. i tried to make a look a little two tonish.

It does sorta-kinda blend the front and rear wheels together, a po-man`s 2tone.

At least the intake is working functionally again! Good work man! Keep it up and go with whatever color you decide you want. If its orange and you're trying the Pumpkin approach.. sounds good. There's also Tigger or Tony The Tiger.. That would be Grrrrrrr-eat!

When I saw all the comments about the different coloured running boards, I had to look. It is a unique and complimentary look that blends nicely with the rims. Nice job.

Which lower billet grille is that?

I like how you mounted the XM radio. How did you run the wires? I don't see any wires at all. I HATE WIRES.

well i had a crap load of wire. i ran it through the floor and up the driver door and throught the steering then got it behind the center console. i hate wires too. the cool thing about my xm radio is that it is fm transmitted so i dont have to connect it to my stereo.

I bought a lower billet grille from another member on here. I was just wondering if you knew what company made the grille.
