lighted power lock switches
#11
My LS has window buttons on the rear doors but no power lock buttons and the rear window buttons do not light up. The lock and window buttons on the driver and passenger doors light up as they are supposed to.

My 2008 2LT, the power window switches in the front are on the console and lighted by the "mood" light while the 2 power lock switches that are on the front doors do not light but the switch for the power mirror on the driver's door armrest does light. The two power window switches on the rear doors next to the door handle do not light.

Might as well add this question....
My master left drivers window switch started working intermittently. No power to rear window switches and can only put rears down (not up) from master. Ok-easy fix. Ordered a new GM switch for my 09 from Amazon for 29 bucks, ACD#D1954F/GM 20945129 (green illumination). Got it and in 5 minutes all windows go up and down with the master.
Now that there is proper power to the rear switches I have found one rear to be completely dead and the other only puts the window down. I would like to switch over to lighted switches. My original part number is 25877777. The lighted number of that switch is 25877776. Cross referenced new numbers are 22895546 for our replacement with no illumination, 22895545 would be the illuminated one. Does anyone know if they can be interchanged?

power to the switches are constant as in the front passenger when the headlights are on. Just found this below but want to know if anyone has tried yet. Went though a whole bunch of searches but no answers...

Silly me. Should have known better. The rear wiring harness is lacking the yellow power wire from the headlight switch. DOH! How cheap Chevy was to not add it to the wiring harness.... Guess no lighted rear window switches for me. Not worth the time to add from one wiring harness to the other...
Thanks anyway guys. Maybe I helped some one else in their quest for lit rear buttons. Happy Easter/Holidays anyway!

BTW, in a pinch if you need to the front passenger switch will work in the rear harness. just no light. buy whatever switch is cheaper at the time to replace....
The switches are both the same cost right now on Amazon and I need 2 so I will get the illuminating ones even though the wont light up only because it has the "white" oem looking rectangle on the switch to stand out.
