Replacing The Front Door Check Link

Replacing The Front Door Check Link
I'm about to replace the left side front door check link on my 2006 HHR. I can't find any detailed information about the job. I can see that I'm going to have to pop the front door panel. Do I have to completely remove the panel or will I have enough room by removing the screws and poping the clips?
I would appreciate and advice.
Well I completed the job. All I had to do was pop the panel and pull back the sound proofing. No need to disconnect the door handle, lock linkage or speaker. Read the posting on front door panel removal before you try this.
Thanks Zip

I'm having the same problem. I have a thread here: https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/maintenance-upkeep-50/door-limiter-44448/
I've heard different terms to describe this part, so I described it as a "Door Limiter"
