Thinking about an HHR

I am in the contemplation stages of starting my own service company and am interested in the HHR Panel

I need something either truly classic or retro looking for the business scheme, "Classic" is in the name

The only problem I have with the truck, from what I have seen, is that I would nee an impermeable bulk head between the passenger area and the cargo area.

Having one made would not be a problem if there is a point that I could permanently attach to.

I have not been able to look at an actual car, just photos.

Any suggestions or photos would be much appreciated

Nothing in Adrian's inventory will work for what I would need
It will most likely need to be custom fabbed.

From the photo you post though I am becoming convinced that it is not possible

Nothing is impossible! A lot of things are not cost effective.

Impermeable to what? Gas, liquid, hard objects, etc.

Gas and liquid
Improper chemical is up to a $5000 fine every time I get stopped and I have been stopped for random checks three times this year.

That bulkhead would not work for me, but I think it tells me what I needed to know.

In the photos I have seen it looked like the back of the seats extended past the point that a bulkhead could be placed and still be in front of the side doors and I wasn't sure that a bulk head behind the doors would allow me enough space.

Your divider seems to be behind the seat but in front of the side door.

All I would need to do is strip away any plastic trim in the back to get to bare metal and build an aluminum or possibly fiberglass wall

Next question

Wold an HHR be able to handle carrying a 50 gallon electric spray rig that would weigh about 150lbs plus the 400lbs of water.

That I figure would be mounted right at the bulkhead where it could be accessed by opening the side doors

It could handle the weight, it is almost a 1/2 ton truck.

They get a bit squirrely when weighed down, new springs would probably be in order.

I have seen HHR bug mobiles, I don't know any of the state requirements.

Here is something you probably don't know yet: The passenger seat folds down with a hard back, so you can carry 8 continuous feet on that side. You could probably build a partition to take that into account. Or, just remove the passenger seat to carry non-dangerous stuff.

I drive with the driver seat almost all the way back and the seat back moderately slanted, the top of the seat extends into the rear door area (past the pillar). So a lot depends on your physical build and habits.

papa-jo's is a panel, BTW. There are no rear seats, just a toolbox instead.

Yes a panel is what I would need, for the classic '54 panel truck look, with the right paint scheme.

I have seen HHRs used as bug trucks but can not tell if they are sales vehicles or service vehicles.
In Fla state law (at least) prohibits carrying pesticides in the passenger compartment. Most states follow the same restrictions

I am 6 feet tall but set my seat like a short man

Another guy at my job is 5'7" and complains that I put my seat too far forward when he has to drive it. I also need my seat back to be almost straight up
