Thumbs up Black Friday 2007 Ads!

Check out this link for the 2007 Black Friday ads for most retailers. Best Buy is having a $249.99 TomTom GPS unit for $119.99. Circuit City is having some killer deals on LCD/Plasma TVs too. Too bad I'll be with family in Jersey & don't see myself shopping these sales, but for those who are there are some pretty sweet deals!

I went to "local" Best Buy at 6am store opened at 5am, best buy gives vouchers for the ad items at 5am. People camp out the night before. I was waiting in line and people were selling their vouchers. I get in the store, the tv I wanted was sold out but one was still there at 7am but couldnt sell it to me till 1130 cause someone still had a voucher. They did have sub-deals which I took saved $600 on Sony Bravia

Our two daughters go out, we watch the grand children. It's safer that way, I can't see fighting the crowds like they do. At my age there isn't anything that I need THAT bad to to risk life & limb.

I used to get my teenagers up if there was something they really wanted. It was a fun family event. But all they want these days is money.

I may go to Penneys at about 8am. They have some great specials early in the morning.

I would probably end up killing somebody at these sales. I have some sort of shopping phobia that I have to deal with every year at the holidays. It seems like people become more aggravating, stand around an talk in the middle of the aisles, complain about the cashiers, etc. so much that I get really angry. Since I get that mad, I try to avoid shopping at all during those times.

I don't shop at Best Buy No matter how good the deals. I used to work there and when I left I vowed never to shop there again.

Ever think about a taser for those moments? So many people pushing they wouldn't know where it came from.

No, not only NO, but He[[ NO. The various stores that have these gimmick sales are gimmick sales of limited items. It is the old bait and switch routine and all too many stores follow that tactic. Cabbage Patch kids, Tickle Me Elmo etc gimmicks that hype items then don't have the stock to support them.
