OK the CEL is on. What is the code NOW. Don't AssUme it's the same one. Alot of times if you fix one a new one will pop up. If it is the same one go back to whoever "fixed" it.

What is the coolant temp?

EVAP canister vent valve? The one near the gas tank. Try opening the gas cap then reclosing it before a warm start.

Again today, no start after a quick 10 mile drive. I called mechanic, he stopped over to read pressure on the fuel rail and lo and behold.....nothing. looks like fuel pump which I thought awhile ago. He got it started by spraying ether somewhere (I'm not sure how or if that helped) and pushing the valve on fuel rail while I was starting it. Gauge read 60psi when it ran (which Ive read is correct). He says its the pump for sure, I'm a little hesitant yet, but have a new pump ordered and should be replaced this weekend. I've heard this whole time that when the fuel pump goes, it goes. So, that's my hesitation.

Also, he did not read code today. He didn't bring the computer with him. This guy was recommended to me by a few people, no longer certified but still wrenches in his spare time and has a wrecker business. He seems Ok so far. Fair prices and doesn't treat me like an idiot. I guess I'll find out soon enough! Eek!

Did I waste my valuable finger prints?

In DESPERATE NEED of HELP...

We are not getting the CEL..... So no error codes to present...

We replaced the fuel pump and have the same issue, no solution for us.
(A dealer told that what the problem was, but he wanted over $800 to replace it.
So I followed the directions from another member on here and me and a buddy changed it ourselves!)

Car simply wont start at all now... It does turn over and actually starts, but abruptly shuts down,

I am going to recharge the battery, and go get a fuel pressure gauge...

Some have suggested the PPV valve under the hood, by the valve cover... Up to $40 bucks...????

Some have suggested the solenoid (Up to $45 bucks) under the car by the carbon canister (Up to 275 bucks)?????

OMG!!!!! HELP PLEASE!!!!!

Uhhh. You've just jumped onto the end of someone else's thread and are looking for answers?
Saying things like "some have suggested" is very vague. Who are these "some" ?
This post is very hard to figure out so I would suggest you start over with a new thread and start from the beginning.
